The Jio campus sits in Navi Mumbai, a city famous for its educational establishments and welcoming attitude towards corporate business. The city itself is a jewel nestled in the stunning Kharghar Hills, and is the modern partner to its more ancient sister city of Mumbai just 25kms away.
The Hub itself sits on the Reliance Jio Campus, a stunning modern development set in 52 acres with views across the Arabian Sea.
The campus offers a roof top swimming pool, India’s first astroturf football pitch, cricket stadium, and a well-equipped fitness centre.
Innovators can enjoy fine dining and canteen on site. The grounds include a lake and meditation zone.
The area is close to national and international transport infrastructure.

Navi Mumbai is an international city with a reputation for good food including Brasseries and Italian restaurants. But for a taste of authentic Northern India, there are a range of exquisite dining opportunities, from fine dining, to street vendors, making Navi Mumbai a foodie heaven.
Navi Mumbai’s climate is best described as moderately hot with a high level of humidity. The average temperate is 29.81ºC (85.66ºF). It sits on the coast of the Arabian sea and the sea breeze helps keep the city cool during Monsoon.
What is the thinking behind selecting Mumbai as the location for the first pilot Innovation Hub?
For the majority of our member organizations, India is the epicenter of software development talent. This is why it made sense to base our first Hub in Mumbai, a location in a time zone that’s accessible to talents in India and around the world. The Mumbai hub has capacity for 20 full-time staff, with facilities to scale upwards for much larger teams as required by the projects. Satellite Hub locations will extend this capacity further, enabling small teams in other locations to participate in Hub projects, without the need for talents to relocate.
